Make your festive season even merrier with this jubilant cruise to the Christmas markets of Basle and Strasbourg. Cruise through magical mountain and forest kingdoms where the Yuletide spirit lives on, delight in finely crafted toys from pretty wooden stalls, be enthralled by exquisite town squares ringed with firs, and savour the aroma of spiced wines and cinnamon biscuits.
Day 1
Breisach Selected early morning pick-ups and journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 7.00am ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Alternatively, join at port, or at the Holiday Inn Ashford North. We will then journey through France, Belgium and Germany to Breisach, where you will join the vessel in time for a welcome drink. Evening at leisure in Breisach.

Day 2
Breisach - Basle During breakfast, we cruise to the vibrant Swiss city of Basle, Switzerland’s gateway to the sea. In the afternoon, you will be at leisure to explore Basle’s bustling Christmas markets, boasting over 100 decorated stalls overflowing with gift ideas. The evening is yours at leisure in Basle. Day 3
Basle - Breisach This morning we cruise back to Breisach, arriving around lunchtime. In the afternoon, you can enjoy an optional tour of the Black Forest. This fantastic tour through the enchanting valleys includes a tour of a cuckoo clock factory, where you can see the largest cuckoo clock in the world. B, L, D

Day 4
Breisach - Strasbourg Before you wake, we make our way to Strasbourg, where you’ll be able to explore one of France’s oldest Christmas markets, located within the cobbled streets of ‘Petite France’. Sweet smelling Christmas trees from the Vosges Mountains, timbered houses, pretty canals and over 70 stalls surround the city’s cathedral, where you’ll find theatre performers, traditional cuisine, finely crafted toys, sculptures, ceramics and jewellery. Day 5
Strasbourg After breakfast, journey through France to Calais and the 5.30pm ferry/Eurotunnel crossing to Dover/Folkestone before transferring to your original point of departure. B

Head into the heart of the Black Forest to Triberg, and then follow the scenic route to Hinterzarten. Visit to a cuckoo clock shop for a demonstration of how this traditional, age-old clock is made before continuing to Titisee, where you'll have free time to explore the town and its beautiful lake.
