We depart St Pancras International by Eurostar for Brussels in Leisure Select Class where a complimentary meal and drinks are served at our seats. Upon arrival in Brussels, you have time to stroll around the stalls of the city's Christmas Market in the Grand Place. In the early evening our journey continues to Bruges, where we spend three nights at the welcoming Hotel Aragon, perfectly located in the medieval centre of Bruges. The main square is just a short walk away and is brimming with bistros and restaurants for you to choose from for dinner tonight. (E)

This morning we discover Bruges, its rich history and beautiful medieval architecture during a guided walking tour. After a three-course lunch at a charming Belgian tea room, we experience one of the country's favourite exports, Flemish beer, with a tour of Bruges' Brewery Museum. (B,L)

After a morning visit to an enticing artisan chocolate maker you are free to browse around the pretty stalls of Bruges' Christmas Market selling a tempting array of hand-made Christmas decorations, gifts, chocolates and lace as well as tasty local delicacies and warming glasses of glühwein. Each winter the centre of Bruges is transformed by these small but charming Christmas Markets which take place in two of the city's squares. The traditional step-gabled buildings decorated with sparkling lights, and the seasonal ice rink in Markt Square all add to the delightfully festive atmosphere. Tonight we have a farewell dinner together in a typical Belgian bistro. (B,D)

We leave Bruges mid-morning for the short train journey to Brussels where we join the Eurostar service to London. A complimentary meal and drinks are served at our seats before our arrival into St Pancras International. (B,E)
