Visit the famous Castle and Holyroodhouse, explore the Royal Mile, make the most of the superb shopping on Princes Street and at Ocean Terminal and don't miss the Christmas markets in the heart of the city.
Itinerary
Day One
Leaving the local area in the early morning we'll head to Edinburgh. After our early afternoon arrival, you're free to explore. Browse the stalls at the traditional German Christmas Market full of homemade decorations, toys and gifts, and enjoy German snacks and perhaps a glass of Gluhwein. Or perhaps pick up some locally produced food, jewellery and crafts at the Highland Village-style Christmas Market, and warm up with a whisky toddy or a mulled wine.
Our panoramic sightseeing coach tour begins at about 5.30pm. You'll see the famous landmarks floodlit, and enjoy the city's Christmas lights, before we stop for an early evening meal (payable locally) and continue to our overnight hotel.
Day Two
Today we return you to central Edinburgh. Head to famous Princes Street, or take our complimentary coach to Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre, which sits on the waterfront of historic port Leith.
We begin our journey home in the late afternoon, arriving back in the local area by mid evening.

You will be staying in a good hotel in the Edinburgh area, such as the Quality Hotel, Edinburgh North, and the King Malcolm Hotel, Dunfermline. All rooms have private bathrooms, telephones, tea- and coffee-making facilities and colour TV, and all hotels have good restaurant and bar facilities.
