Itinerary
Day One
Leaving the local area in the morning we'll head to York. Arriving at around lunchtime, you're free to explore this historic city. Browse the famous high street names in the modern Coppergate Centre, and search the elegant boutiques, antiques dealers and booksellers of Stonegate and the cobbled streets of the medieval Shambles, looking for that perfect gift, before we head to our overnight hotel.
Day Two
Durham, our destination today, is one of England's most splendid cities - compact, rich in history and well worth exploring.
Each year, Durham's Christmas Festival springs to life with Yuletide cheer. Craftsmen and professional designers offer alluring arrays of goods, fantastic entertainment and the best Father Christmas Grotto in the North East. After a morning of excitement, we'll start our journey home, and should arrive back in the local area by mid to late evening.
