Daytime or Northern Lights Husky Safari

Operated by Lyngsfjord Adventure, this excursion includes a 2-3 hour husky safari, travelling two to a sled – one driving and one enjoying the wild and beautiful inland scenery. Price includes transfers (about 90 minutes each way) warm clothing/boots and a hot meal.

Shorter Husky Safaris

Sit back and enjoy the scenery close to the fjord on a 45-60 minute safari operated by Tromsø Wilderness Centre. Price includes transfers (about 30 minutes each way). Warm clothing/boots and a hot meal.

Day or Northern Lights Snowmobile Safari
Daily 09.00-16.00 and 17.00-24.00.
Also operated by Lyngsfjord Adventure, the 2-3 hour Snowmobile Safari through the dry inland valleys offers very good chances of seeing the Northern Lights. Price includes transfers (about 90 minutes each way), warm clothing/boots and a hot meal.

Chasing the Northern Lights
Mons/Thurs/Sats/Suns departing 18.30.
Duration: 6-8 hours or as long as it takes! A relentless car chase with Kjetil Skogli, the photographer/guide who realised Joanna Lumley’s dream of seeing the Northern Lights. Kjetil has an 80% success rate in finding the Aurora, and takes up to seven people per trip so early booking is essential.
Price includes coffee, biscuits, warm clothing and photo tips.

The Northern Lights Bus

A flexible tour in a comfortable mini-coach – either remaining in one dramatic location, with a Sami-tent and a warming fire, or moving around in search of the Northern Lights if the weather is cloudy. Price includes hot drinks, cake and warm clothing.

Lyngen Snowmobile Safari or Horse-drawn Sleigh Ride

In the foothills of the Lyngen Alps you can enjoy the fabulous fjord views on a gentle two-hour Snowmobile Safari, or a Horsedrawn Sleigh Ride. Price includes transfers (60 minutes including ferry ride), warm clothing and a sweet snack.

Northern Lights from the Sea
Daily 20.30-23.00
Join Gulli and Cato on their catamaran m.b. Havcruise for a different view of Tromsø as you head north through sheltered waters in search of Northern Lights. The boat takes a maximum of 12 guests and the price includes warm clothing, hot drink and a hot fish meal in the cosy saloon.
