The ultimate way to experience Arctic Norway! Our new tour starts with two nights in the beautiful city of Tromsø, then takes you northward on a two-night Coastal voyage to the border town of Kirkenes. En route the ship calls at remote towns and villages, with an excursion to the North Cape included. The last two nights are spent in Kirkenes, with some excellent excursions available into the pristine wilderness on the very edge of Europe. Throughout the tour there is the possibility of stunning Northern Lights, while on the last night of the holiday you have the option of a night in the Kirkenes Snow Hotel for yet another experience!
This tour can be combined with other arrangements, and it is also possible to fly between Tromsø and Kirkenes if you prefer. Short breaks in Kirkenes can also be arranged. Details on request.
KIRKENES ACTIVITIES
Husky Safari
Daily 10.00 – 16.30
Pick-up at hotel or Hurtigruten quay by Birk Husky with scenic transfer into the Pasvik Valley for a memorable husky safari along the Norwegian/Russian border and into the Pasvik Forest. All adults can drive a husky team if they wish. Coffee/tea and lunch will be served outdoors round an open fire or in a Sami tent. Price includes transfers (about 45 minutes each way) warm clothing and boots.

Snowmobile Safari
Daily 09.45 – 14.00
Pick-up at hotel or Hurtigruten Quay by Pasvikturist for a Snowmobile Safari (about 20kms) along the Pasvik river which forms the border with Russia. This is a very personal tour where you will learn a lot about the history, nature and way of life in the north. Prices includes transfers (about 20 minutes each way) warm clothing/boots, coffee/tea and lunch.

King Crab Safari
Tuesdays 10.00 – 15.00
Pick up at hotel or Hurtigruten Quay by Arctic Adventure Resort, for award-winning King Crab Safari by rigid inflatable boat. A diver goes down to catch these amazing creatures, which later provide a delicious lunch! Price includes transfers (about 30 minutes each way), warm clothing/boots and multimedia show.

Relax and spa with 3-course dinner.
Daily 17.30 – 21.30 (or by arrangement).
Spend an evening at Sollia Guesthouse, set in beautiful scenery overlooking the Russian border. Enjoy the view and the night sky from the outdoor hot-tub, then relax in the sauna before a delicious 3-course dinner. Price includes transfers (about 20 minutes each way, dinner, soft drink, bathrobe, towel and a hat to keep you warm!

ITINERARY
DAY 1. Depart Heathrow 10.20 for Oslo and onward flight to Tromsø arriving 18.10.
2 nights Bed and Breakfast – Rica Ishavshotel, Tromsø.
DAY 2. At leisure in Tromsø to visit some of its fascinating museums or enjoy one of the many
activities available.
DAY 3. Another day to explore Tromsø. At 18.30 depart Tromsø on the northbound Hurtigruten coastal ship. A twin-bedded outside cabin with private facilities is included.
2 nights Half-board – Hurtigruten
DAY 4. After an early morning call at Hammerfest, the ship arrives at 11.45 in Honningsvåg. You then depart by coach for the North Cape where you can enjoy a panoramic film featuring the four seasons at the North Cape. Later you return to the ship and sail onwards to Kirkenes.
DAY 5. 10.00 Arrive Kirkenes. If you choose to include one of the morning excursions you will
be met at the quayside and then at the end of the excursion you will be taken with your luggage to your hotel.
2 nights Bed and Breakfast– Rica Hotel, Kirkenes or
1 night Bed and Breakfast– Rica Hotel and 1 night Half-Board – Kirkenes Snow Hotel.
DAY 6. At leisure in Kirkenes to enjoy a wide range of optional activities.
