8-Day Break

• Dec 21 – Local departure by coach then onward to northern France or Belgium for an overnight stay.
• Dec 22 – Continue south to Italy and arrive at our hotel in Riva del Garda for five nights. B,D
• Dec 23 – Trento (included); Winetasting (optional). Excursion to the regional capital of Trento to visit its popular Christmas market. In the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to join an optional winetasting at a local cantina. B,D
• Christmas Eve – Verona (included); Verona Walking Tour (optional). We visit Romeo and Juliet’s ‘fair Verona’, where a guide will show us the highlights of the city on an optional walking tour, such as the famous amphitheatre where the annual Verona Opera takes place. We return to Riva and tonight you can enjoy dinner and music in your hotel. B,D
• Christmas Day – Lake Garda Cruise (optional). After a visit from Father Chritmas and turkey lunch realx and maybe take a cruise on Lake Garda before tonight’s gala Christmas Dinner with live music. B,L,D
• Boxing Day – Venice (optional). Explore the world-famous sights, including the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and the Doges’ Palace, on our excursion to Venice. A true highlight of your Christmas holiday. B,D
• Dec 27 – To northern France or Belgium for an overnight stay. B
• Dec 28 – We arrive in Calais for our  return home. B

Accommodation

You’ll stay for five nights at the 4-star Hotel Savoy Palace, approximately 250 metres from the lake and a short walk along the lakeside from the centre of Riva. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, two lifts and an indoor swimming pool.

All bedrooms have T.V., telephone and safety deposit box. Overnight stays in northern France or Belgium are in city-style hotels.
