8-Day Break

• Dec 21 – Local departure by coach then travel onwards to northern France for an overnight stay.
• Dec 22– Continue south to Lake Como for a five-night stay. B,D
• Dec 23 – Lake Maggiore (included). Enjoy our excursion to Lake Maggiore and the opulent resort town of Stresa. Explore and perhaps relax in a café and enjoy the stunning scenery towards the Borromean Islands. B,L,D
• Christmas Eve – Milan (optional), Milan Sightseeing (optional). Day at leisure or join our optional excursion to Milan, seeing the Duomo, one of the world’s largest, most striking cathedrals, the elegant shopping arcades and much more.B,L,D
• Christmas Day – Merry Christmas! Enjoy a leisurely day and the festivities, including Gala Christmas Lunch! B,L,D
• Boxing Day – St. Moritz and Bernina Express (optional). We head into Switzerland, firstly to the world famous  resort of St Moritz. From here you join the Bernina Express, the highest rail crossing of the Alps. Don’t forget your camera! The journey takes us past the peaks of the Bernina Alps to Ticino, where we rejoin our coach, for the journey back to Cadenabbia. Excursion cost is £36 if pre-purchased.. B,L,D
• Dec 27 – We leave Lake Como and travel to northern France for an overnight stay. B
• Dec 28– Travel to Calais and return home. B

Accommodation

You’ll stay for four or five nights fully-inclusive at the 3-star Hotel Britannia Excelsior in Cadenabbia. Enjoying a superb setting facing the lake-shore, the hotel has a restaurant featuring buffet meals (except Christmas Day Lunch and New Year’s Eve Dinner), large lounge area, bar and lifts. Enjoy the superb views across the lake to
Bellagio. All bedrooms have flat-screen T.V., telephone and hairdryer. The hotel is managed and owned by the
Whieldon family who are on hand to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Room upgrades are available. Overnight stays in northern France will be in city-style hotels.
