8-Day Break

• Dec 22 – You fly to Munich or Salzburg where you will be met and transferred to our hotel in Austria for a seven-night stay. D
• Dec 23 – Innsbruck (included). We enjoy a full-day in the capital of the Tirol, with time to explore its many fine buildings, including the famous Golden Roof and the Grand Maria Theresien Strasse. See the charming festive tree dominating the medieval Old Town and the Christmas Market, with stalls decked out with decorations, local wood and glass crafts. B,D
• Christmas Eve – Salzburg (optional). An excursion to the 'Sound of Music' city and birthplace of Mozart. There's time to explore its medieval spires, lofty fortress and Baroque fountains. Enjoy the sights or just relax in a friendly café as the locals prepare for Holy Night. B,D
• Christmas Day – Gisela Railway (optional). After a leisurely breakfast, why not take a train ride on the romantic old Gisela Railway between Kitzbühel and Zell-am-See. The journey takes us through some superb mountain scenery at the slow pace of a bygone age, before a Christmas evening turkey dinner at our hotel. B,D
• Boxing Day – Herrenchiemsee (optional). A full day across the border to Germany, visiting Chiemsee, Bavaria's largest lake. We take a boat from the spa resort of Prien and travel across the lake to Herrenchiemsee, where we visit the Royal Castle of King Ludwig II. B,D
• Dec 27 & 28 – Two days at leisure in Kirchberg to enjoy the town, surrounding scenery and perhaps a little 'apres ski' in the local bars. B,D
• Dec 29 – We transfer to Munich or Salzburg for your flight home. B

Accommodation

You’ll stay for seven nights at the 3-star Hotel Feldrose, located in the resort of Oberau in the heart of the Wildschönau Valley, close to the breathtaking Kitzbühel Alps. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, T.V. lounge and indoor pool, and all bedrooms have T.V. and telephone.

Flights

Flights to Salzburg are available from Coventry, Manchester, London Stansted and London Gatwick. Flights to Munich are available from Birmingham, London Heathrow, London Stansted and Manchester.
