12-Day Break

• Dec 22 – Local departure then onward to Belgium for an overnight stay.
• Dec 23 – Continue south through Germany and into Austria to our hotel for four nights. B,D
• Christmas Eve – Christmas Eve Salzburg (included). Salzkammergut Lakes (optional). Enjoy the sights of the beautiful city of Salzburg, overlooked by the mighty Hohensalzburg Fortress. Enjoy a delicious
  slice of cake and a warming cup of coffee in one of the many tempting cafes, which line the squares and streets. In the afternoon, you can either remain in the city, as the locals prepare for ‘Holy Night’, or join our optional excursion to the Salzkammergut Lakes. B,D
• Christmas Day –  Kitzbuhel (optional). Enjoy a relaxing visit to the picturesque resort of Kitzbuhel before returning to your hotel for tonight’s turkey Christmas dinner. B,D
• Boxing Day –  Mayrhofen (included), Ziller Valley Railway (optional). Travel to the Ziller Valley, where you can take an optional ride on the Ziller Valley Railway between Fugen and Mayrhofen. Alternatively travel by coach to the ski resort of Mayrhofen, overlooked by majestic alpine scenery.  B,D
• Dec 27 – We leave Austria and drive into the Czech Republic to Prague for a three night stay. B,D
• Dec 28 & 29 –  Prague (included). Two full days to enjoy Prague. An optional guided walking tour will show you the main sights of the city including St. Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square.  2xB,2xD
• Dec 30 – We bid farewell to Prague and drive west to Germany to our hotel in the Cologne area for a three night stay.B,D
• New Year's Eve – Rhine Valley (included), Rhine Cruise (optional). Excursion through the Rhine Valley to Koblenz with an optional Rhine cruise, returning to our hotel for tonight’s celebrations. B,D
• New Year's Day – Moselle Valley (optional). A leisurely start then an optional drive through the beautiful Moselle Valley to the town of Cochem. An optional winetasting in a local wine cellar can also be enjoyed today. B,D
• Jan 2 – Return home to the U.K. B

Accommodation

You will stay for four nights in the Austrian Tyrol at a 3-star hotel such as the Dorferwirt in Oberau. The hotel
has a restaurant and bar. All bedrooms have T.V. You will then stay for three nights at the 4-star Jury’s Inn in Prague, which is situated within walking distance of the Old Town. Finally you will stay for three nights at the 4-star Ramada Bruhl, on the outskirts on Cologne.

Your overnight stay in Belgium will be in a city-style hotel.
